The Big Sky Chapter of North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association, or “Big Sky NAVHDA”, was formed as a non-profit organization in 1977 dedicated to help hunters with their versatile dogs in accordance with North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association (NAVHDA) objectives.

Hello Big Sky NAVHDA Members,
As our training and testing season comes to a close, we want to take a moment to thank everyone who helped make it such a great year.
From training days and clinics to our tests and other chapter events, none of it happens without the time, effort, and enthusiasm of our members. Thank you to everyone who volunteered, trained, handled dogs, helped organize events, donated, and supported the chapter throughout the season. We truly appreciate everything you do to make Big Sky NAVHDA such a great community.
Now it's time to enjoy the reason we're all out there training in the first place!
Good luck this hunting season, and we hope you and your dogs have a safe, successful, and fun season in the field. Enjoy the birds, the dogs, and the time outdoors with good friends.
A Few Chapter Updates
Helmville Training Grounds
Access to the Helmville training grounds will be available through September 1 for members with Approved Land Access Passes.
Special consideration may be given to members who are actively training for the NAVHDA Invitational and would like to continue training in Helmville after September 1. If this applies to you, please reach out to Jason Rice or William Bastian to discuss access.
